| Dr. Abubaker received a B.Sc. in "Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering Communication (University of Belgrade, 1970)" and a M.Sc. in "Computer Technology, Computer System (American University, Applied Scientist in Engineering,
George Washington University, 1975)" and Ph.D. degrees in Management of Information Systems (George Washington University U.S.A). |

The inception of Computer Man College in 1991 heralded a new era of technological studies at higher education level in Sudan The college since then, established itself as a prime source of skilled computer scientists, information technologists and computer engineers, all are timely needed by the country, to cope with the tremendous growth in communication and information technology as well as the global trend of specialization and development in the ICT technologies. |
| Our graduates are now distributed all over the public and private sector agencies locally and internationally and participating effectively in the revolution that touches upon all aspects of life in Sudan to influence a more efficient use of global resources by strengthening all cultural and economic development in the country and making them accessible to many interested partners world wide. Thus the college enhanced the chances of the country for positive utilization and of globalization and position Sudan properly in the middle of international events to assist the country adopts the right polices. |
| Computer Man College has reached now the stage that qualifies it for promotion to a full fledge university, according to the nationally set criteria by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. This qualification was attended in the light of quality of content of programs, skills acquired by our graduate students, the quality of research projects prepared by them and the extension services rendered by Computer Man College to the community at large. |
| Computer Man College also adopts a strategy of building its capacity by strengthening its networking, with regional and international institution in designing courses, conducting training programmers, executing joint research projects and sharing of experiences. |
| The College believes that multinational and a multicultural campus enriches students experiences in terms of social and cultural diversity. A number of foreign students from Africa, the middle east and Asia have been given the opportunity of joining different degree programme creating an international centre for developing capacity in ICT.
To keep pace with all these developments, particularly the promotion to the university, the college endeavors to construct additional extensions to the existing buildings to house the different faculties after promotion to a university. Measures of procuring the land, preparing architectural designs and laying the foundation of the new building are all started.
